The Happy Medium are teaming up with Ghost Town in Kilkenny back in The Zoo club (previous appearance in December 2006 for the KilkennyMusic.com Christmas party). It all goes down on February 2nd, music kicking off around 10 or 10:30pm. Admission a fiver…
This should also be the band’s last outing for a while as our bass player is off to Scotland - for how long is still unknown so we won’t be booking anything in the near future until we sort out a standin. If you missed the One Take Sessions in Kilkenny last night, Ken was at it again and played a full Happy Medium set including acoustic versions of ‘(We used to be) Soliders’ and ‘Boys & Girls’. If you’re in the Kilkenny area this December you’ll catch the band making their final appearance of 2006 in The Zoo club on 40 Parliament Street lining up as part of the KilkennyMusic.com Xmas Bash. The date, December 16th also marks the band’s one-year anniversary as their full lineup, having debuted in Cleere’s Theatre, also in Kilkenny, on that date last year.
The band will be showcasing some new material along with old favourites on the night before getting back to recording again in early 2007.
Also on the bill are other Kilkenny indie outfit, Saving J, along with Laminate and Waiting To Explode (Mullingar). There’s a charge of 5 euro on the door with music kicking off around 9pm. Keep an eye on KilkennyMusic.com and the Kilkenny press for details.
